How Our Showcase Model Works

Four simple steps from the studio to the professional stage.

1. Choose Your Venue

Select a date and location. We carefully schedule our performances, allowing enough term time to prep before one of our shows.

2. Secure Your Slot

Complete the teacher booking form and process the £200 holding deposit* payment to lock in a space for your school. Crucially, this deposit is fully refunded upon cast registration completion, there is no cost to the school to take part!

3. Create & Rehearse

Prepare two brilliant routines (totalling up to 10 minutes stage time). Then you can submit your music and specific lighting requests or alternatively, leave it entirely to our trusty tech team! We even bring the magic straight to your studio with an exclusive, high-energy finale workshop before showtime!

4. Take The Stage

Finally, arrive for your professional tech rehearsal. Step out from the wings and enjoy the live performance!

We are hugely passionate about offering our events to musical theatre groups too. Every year we welcome triple threat troupes with live singing, acting and musical theatre actively encouraged! So much so, Take the Stage will provide up to 5 headset mics totally free of charge.

Primary, Secondary, Boarding & Independent schools love to Take the Stage too!

We regularly welcome after school clubs, GCSE dance groups and school musical casts at our events too. Teachers love the opportunity to work towards a showcase, providing a huge professional platform that instantly elevates the student experience from your regular school hall!

“I have been involved with Take the Stage for several years. It is a fun way of giving our pupils the experience of performing on a big stage with proper lights and acoustics. The team are experienced and go out of their way to make every member of the cast feel important and have a great day. From the very first time you, as the principal, enrol your school in the show, right up until the last child is collected after the performance you are kept informed and feel involved. The organisation is great, both on the lead up to the show, during the rehearsals and of course the big day itself.. There is a marked difference between Take the Stage and some other organisations. You get a rehearsal time on the stage, a member of the team comes to your school to teach the children the finale routine, each performer gets a t shirt (which is almost part of the uniform at our school!), the tickets are affordable and the pupils have fun!! From a teacher’s point of view, to be able to take your pupils perform at The Cliffs is a dream. As long as you have the appropriate number of chaperones you don’t have to worry about all the licences, the cost of hiring the venue and budgeting. We hope Amy and her team will continue with Take the Stage for many years to come.”
